The private estate will offer three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and nearly 3,700 square feet under air. Ideal for entertaining, the home’s open floor plan includes a study, piano room and a great room that opens into an expansive outdoor living space with a large covered veranda, outdoor kitchen and oversized pool deck. “The Founders Club is uniquely one of the few true custom-build communities in the area, and the homebuyers quickly realized it was the perfect setting,” said T.J. Nutter, President of Nutter Custom Construction. “The width of the homesites allow a lot of flexibility in the home’s design, and the new residence will offer privacy and preserve views along with a glimpse of the golf course.” The new home is scheduled for completion next month.

Dubbed a “coastal-zen style”, the 4,007-square-foot home’s high-polished, white terrazzo flooring leads to a sunken living area with aged driftwood flooring. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom model features a three-car garage, walk-in closets and a well-appointed kitchen with a custom, decorative metal range hood, incorporating everyday functionality with elegance. The spa-like master bathroom is outfitted with accordion glass doors giving way to a custom wall mural that connects guests with the outdoors.

When Sarasota native T.J. Nutter launched his custom home company, he built upon an established foundation of excellence. His father and grandfather preceded him in the construction industry, though T.J. acknowledges that his early aspirations didn’t include following in their footsteps. “I pursued an interest in finance,” he explains. But after playing football at Tennessee Tech and graduating from the University of South Florida, T.J. quickly discovered that he wasn’t suited for the traditional corporate environment. While interning at a financial firm, he recalls, “I’d always eat my lunch at a construction site so that I could watch the progress of the project.” It didn’t take him long to realize where his true passions lie; T.J. left the financial sector and became a superintendent for a national builder.
